Dear Friends,

It was a great honor to be able to judge the French National Specialty this past September, 2017. It was an amazing experience which I won’t soon forget! Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to make the deadline for the French SMD Club Newsletter to write about my experience, and say a few words about the wonderful show.

That being said, I wish to thank Mme. Joëlle Bardet for inviting me to judge this amazing show. It was a great honor. I was happy to see about 50 Bernese males in the open class that I had the pleasure of judging as well as junior class males …. In spite of the rain, and my lack of knowing any French language, the show went on to be a huge success. The whole show was extremely well organized. Thanks to my ring staff, everything went smoothly. I would like to give a big thanks to Mr. Stéphane Sazerat and Mr. Lavergne who helped me in the ring with the translations, they were a huge help to me. It is my hopes also that the exhibitors and the winners of the show had as wonderful a time as I did. I will do my best to visit France, and the SMD show again. Thanks again for the amazing hospitality and wonderful time at the French Swiss Mountain Dog Club!!!
